Amb. Lazarus Amayo meeting with the leadership of Washington State University (WSU)

Amb. Lazarus Amayo met with the leadership of Washington State University (WSU), led by Ms. Colleen Kerr, Vice President and Chief Legislative Officer. The discussion centered on ways through which the university could partner with Kenya’s academic and research institutions.

Amb. Amayo while welcoming the dons to the Embassy, underscored the need for deep and multifaceted partnership between US and Kenya institutions noting that the existing cordial relations between the countries provide the needed catalyst for the cooperation.

WSU is currently running its programs under Global Health-Kenya, an office that carries out research with several institutions in Kenya on infectious diseases. They wish to expand the existing collaborations beyond health with an intention of forming long lasting partnerships.
