Meeting with the World Bank Kenya Country Director, Mr. Keith Hansen.

Amb. Amayo had a virtual meeting with the World Bank Kenya Country Director, Mr. Keith Hansen.

They exchanged notes on the status of ongoing national and regional projects and other support measures provided by the Bank. They noted the productive engagement between the Kenya and the World Bank Teams during the recent autumn meetings of the Bank and the Fund that set out clear parameters for work ahead.

Amb. Amayo and Mr.Hansen recognized the longstanding relationship between the World Bank and Kenya. They undertook to foster closer engagement on the broader resilience agenda with a view to restoring Kenya’s great growth path before the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Validity of blue Passport

The Government of Kenya has recently extended the validity of the dark blue machine-readable passport period to November 2022. Kenyans are therefore requested to take advantage of the extension and apply for e-passports as this might be the government’s final extension. It is important to note that Kenyans whose passports have expired can apply for the issuance of emergency travel documents in DC, NY or LA.
