President Uhuru Kenyatta and the U.S President-elect Joe Biden commit to build on the longstanding and strong partnership between Kenya and the U.S

His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and the US President-elect Joe Biden spoke on phone and expressed their commitment to building on the longstanding and strong partnership existing between the two countries.

The President-elect offered his appreciation for President Kenyatta’s congratulatory message and expressed his interest in partnering with Kenya on issues including tackling the threat of climate change, supporting refugees and their host communities, and addressing challenges of regional security and instability.

President Uhuru Kenyatta in his congratulatory message to the President-elect termed his election as confidence of the American people in his leadership credentials and that it presents an even bigger and better platform for the two countries to collaborate more closely for the prosperity of the people of the two counties.

He further applauded the Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for making history to be the first woman to occupy the second most powerful leadership position in the American political history.
