Specialty Coffee Association Expo New Orleans, USA

Kenya is penetrating the US market and this year participated in a Specialty Coffee Association Expo in New Orleans, USA on September 30 – 3rd October 2021 with a delegation of Coffee Growers.

On 4th October 2021 the delegation visited French Truck Coffee Roastery where Mr. Bobby Winston the proprietor acknowledged high quality Kenyan coffee and emphasized that quality, people, consistency, and freshness are the main parameters buyers use in evaluating coffee.

The team led by Trade Attaché of Kenya Embassy in the US, Mr. Ng’ong’a and Dr. Apuoyo of coffee Directorate made the visits to enable the growers understand the market requirements in USA, the technology used in roasting and get more direct coffee buyers
