Updating of Diaspora records
The Embassy appreciates the positive contributions of the Kenyan Diaspora in the promotion of the country’s national interest in the United States. Owing to its pivotal role, the Government of Kenya is keen in mainstreaming the Diaspora in day-today developmental activities of the country. Consequently, the Government has created a new Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs to deepen engagements with the Diaspora and provide seamless and timely service delivery.
To achieve this, the Embassy is in the process of updating records of the Diaspora Associations and the contacts of Kenyans in the US for ease of communication and engagements, including meetings with government officials.
In this regard, the Embassy is requesting individual Kenyans to use this https://kenyaembassydc.org/kenyanregistration/ to register while the associations are encouraged to provide the following details:
- Name of the Association
- Leadership
- Current membership
- Nature of the Association (Church, welfare, professional e.t.c)
- Articles of Association
- Registration status (provide registration certificate if registered)
- Contact details (address, phone number, website, email)
- Any other relevant information
